Is Castle Mountain upside down? Prominent geologic features will be discussed in the context of the formation of the Matanuska Valley.  Please join us with Bob Gillis, field geologist with the Alaska Division of Geologic and Geophysical Surveys.  Bob serves as the Cook Inlet basin analysis program manager. He has spent the last 15 years studying the role of faults and folds in the formation of the state’s sedimentary basins from the Alaska Peninsula and Cook Inlet region to parts of the Alaska Range, Talkeetna Mountains, and North Slope.
